What is the Basic Trauma Response Course
The BTRC is put together by different experts in emergency and tactical medicine. You should be mentally and physically prepared to make a difference and save a life. BTRC training focuses on bridging the gap between incident and EMS and based on TECC guidelines.
Trainees do not require any prior medical training to participate. BTRC training is not like the traditional medical training because we address tactics, the training is very hands on and will employ reality based training techniques.
Introduction to Basic first Aid and Tactical Combat Causality care (TCCC) procedures used by the US Military to save lives during combat.
Second part of the course is based on the Civilian BLS (Basic Life Support)
Civilians are usually the first ones on scene during an active shooter incident, terriost attack, natural disasters, hunting or everyday accidents.
