Women’s Defensive Tactics Training

What You Will Learn:
1. Introduction to Defensive Tactics
• Overview of the day: A brief discussion on the goals and objectives of the course, with a focus on building confidence, awareness, and practical skills.
2. Handling Stress in High-Stakes Situations
• Recognizing and managing stress: Learn techniques to stay calm, focused, and effective during stressful situations.
• Breathing and mental exercises: Practice to control physiological responses to stress.
3. Developing a Survival Mindset
• Understanding the importance of mindset: Discussion on the psychological elements that will help you survive dangerous situations.
• Decision-making under pressure: Learn how to make quick and effective decisions when confronted with threats.
4. Basic Firearms Safety
• The 4 rules of firearms safety: Introduction to the fundamental safety rules every responsible gun owner must know.
• Handling firearms safely: How to handle, store, and transport a firearm to avoid accidents.
5. Marksmanship Fundamentals
• Grip and Stance: Introduction to the proper grip and stance for accuracy and control.
• The way the gun cycles: Learn how firearms cycle and how it affects shooting mechanics.
• Natural Point of Aim (NPA): How to align your body and firearm for consistent accuracy without forcing alignment.
6. Hands-on Practice
Dry-fire drills: Work on proper grip, stance, and trigger control without live ammunition to build muscle memory.
Live-fire practice: Once confident with fundamentals, transition to live-fire exercises at the range.
Scenario-Based Training:
Realistic role-playing: Students will engage in a simulated defensive scenario, practicing decision-making, firearm handling, and defensive tactics in a controlled environment.
Scenario debrief: Each participant will receive feedback on their performance to help build confidence and improve skills.
Additional Information:
Lunch: Organic, farm-to-table lunch will be provided. Please notify us in advance if you have any food allergies.
Snacks and Coffee: Complimentary coffee and snacks throughout the day.
Bathroom Facilities: Available onsite.
What to Bring:
Clothing & Footwear: Long pants with a belt, comfortable hiking shoes, baseball hat, sunglasses.
Personal Firearm: If you own a firearm, please bring it. If not, 580 Tactical will provide firearms and ammunition.
Eye and Ear Protection: Safety gear will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Course Schedule:
- 0900 – 0930: Arrival, registration, and coffee/snacks
- 0930 – 1030: Introduction to defensive tactics and mindset
- 1030 – 1130: Basic firearms safety and marksmanship fundamentals
- 1130 – 1230: Lunch break (organic farm-to-table)
- 1230 – 0130: Hands-on practice and live-fire drills
- 0130 – 0200: Scenario-based training and debrief
